On 16th December 2025 (Tuesday), the Community Youth Club and the English Society jointly organized a festive Christmas Bake Sale. The event aimed not only to celebrate the joyous holiday season but also to contribute to a meaningful cause — all proceeds were donated to The Community Chest of Hong Kong in support of children and youth services.
In preparation for the sale, students gathered in the Home Economics Room after school on the preceding day to bake an assortment of cookies and brownies. Despite the tight schedule, the team successfully mixed, baked, and packaged over 100 delicious treats through remarkable teamwork and dedication.
The Bake Sale received an overwhelming response from students and staff alike. Even before opening, enthusiastic queues had formed, and all items were sold out within fifteen minutes. The organizing teams extend their heartfelt gratitude to Principal Law, teachers, and students for their generous support in making this event a resounding success.
As we celebrate the spirit of Christmas, may we also be reminded of the importance of caring for those in need. We are proud of the compassion and unity our students demonstrated, and we look forward to hosting more meaningful service activities in the future.
Student’s Reflection
The whole bake sale, from the preparation till the day of the sale, was very much rushed. This year, we were also collaborating with CYC. In the week before the sale, both my committee members and I had to start planning what to make for the bake sale and how to decorate the English Corner. And we also had to handle the distribution of work between us.
Just three days before the sale, we had to start buying ingredients. And on the day of the baking, we only had 4 students, including me, helping out with baking brownies, while the rest of my committee members helped with decorating the English Corner for the bake sale. I couldn’t thank them enough for the amount of effort they put in for the drawings they did.
As for the day of the sale, I wasn’t expecting our brownies to sell out that fast. I cannot thank everybody enough for all the support that we received from students and teachers. Thanks to their support, we managed to hit our goal and all money received was donated to help the underprivileged.
