Ocean Park is Hong Kong’s premier educational theme park, and every year in conjunction with the Hong Kong Education Bureau, they hold the Animal Photopoetry Creative Challenge. It is an invaluable opportunity where students appreciate diverse animals and galvanize an interest in English poetry. They are tasked with roaming the amusement park to visit the various species that Ocean Park has to offer and photograph the one that will inspire their poetry.

This year, ten S.1 and S.2 students were invited to join the event on February 6, 2026. Out of the twelve values and attitudes, the participants had to compose a poem based on diligence, filial piety or perseverance. It was an exhilarating experience as students prepared to scour the amusement park to capture their chosen species on camera and later pen their poems. Overall, it was a memorable experience for our students to foster their creativity through photography and poetry.
